  Basically, in order to target uk audience you need to promote your website in uk country. Such as uk web directories, uk article directories, uk press release sites. It means you need to promote your website in such places where uk visitors are more.   Hi Steve, I would personally have a ppc campaign until the organic traffic grew, any options of hosting the website in the UK? may help loading time. Use Google webmaster tools to select country selection. This will promote your website in the UK if you structure your website correct. I.E - www.yoursite.com/en Keep at it I am also in the classifieds business and this is something i have a great deal of experience in.

  I've promoted my uk based site through forum posting on related sites and adding to free uk directories my sites rankings have increase a lot in a short time, but you need to make sure your on site Seo is optimised for your keywords.

  I would never suggest anyone to opt for PPC to get more visitors unless it is a commercial website selling products. Since, your website is a classified, I would suggest you to promote your website in uk based directories, articles sites, social networking and bookmarking sites. It will help you a lot to increase your online presence in United Kingdom.

  This is very hard to get a particular traffic, such as USA, Asia, UK, etc
  But if you have your website on information related to the U.S., then it can be visited in the region. All information must be related in the U.S. otherwise it is necessary for this and finally it should promote social networks just as if you have fan page for all the fans are U.S. it is better to promote it.
