    If you are talking about "Clocking" I would instantly assume you are talking about “Over clocking” your CPU or GPU to make it run faster than it was originally intended. It will also run hotter than it should so you need to add some extra cooling and ventilation inside your case.


    If you did mean to type Cloaking, it would be more relevant to SEO. Cloaking is when you show one version of a website to Google and another to your visitors. The intention is to trick Google into thinking your site is better than it actually is. However, this is a black hat technique and to achieve it successfully you need to understand many things because it’s not easy to trick Google!

    I know about one Cloaking not Clocking and going tell you about that and hope you are asking for this only.

    Cloaking is one type of Blackhat techniques in SEO in which is used to mislead search engine by presenting different content for crawling to search engine spider than the actual one that is presented to user visibility.

    Hope this only you wanted to know. If this is not then next time please mentioned in detail so that we can't get confused while giving answer.

    For those who still didn't get how link cloaking works here it is:
    Cloaking is a search engine optimization (SEO) technique in which the content presented to the search engine spider is different from that presented to the user's browser. This is done by delivering content based on the IP addresses or the User-Agent HTTP header of the user requesting the page.

    When a user is identified as a search engine spider, a server-side script delivers a different version of the web page, one that contains content not present on the visible page, or that is present but not searchable. The purpose of cloaking is sometimes to deceive search engines so they display the page when it would not otherwise be displayed (black hat SEO).

    However, it can also be a functional (though antiquated) technique for informing search engines of content they would not otherwise be able to locate because it is embedded in non-textual containers such as video or certain Adobe Flash components.

    Cloaking affiliate links is the art of showing your visitors an internal link when they mouse over an affiliate link so that the visitor doesn’t think they are leaving your site.

    For example, one of the websites we used to run was a site that provided leads to online universities. We used a third party affiliate company to gather the leads. So when someone came to our site and wanted to request information from University of Phoenix they had to click on the “request info” button.

    Cloaking comes in many forms, some have an instant popup which is not visible to humans only to crawlers. It was pretty crafty when it was first introduced, now you will get found out very easily.
