I have been using Keyword Country since years and the revised version is even better. I am reaping benefits with its keyword research (helps me to find LSI, long tail, misspellings etc, competitor keywords..)and as an aid to find quality sources of link building.

Its Google Adwords Keyword Tool. But before analyze your website manually and sort out some keyword on the theme relevant of your website. You should also use this keywords for optimization but alwys check for the trends results on those keywords.
I use Google Keyword tool. It's always been a good keyword tool and many SEO experts use it. It gives reliable data and it's free! But paid tools are also good, you just have to choose well since you will invest some money for it.
You are right Google adwords is the best tool because its highly authentic tool out there, as its google's own tool no one can be more accurate then it.
For on site optimization, keyword analysis is a very important. But i did not understand which keyword tools i use for analysis.
I don understand what's best then Google................ if Google is providing free service then y to go for paid SEO tools, after all our target is to get results in Google mainly then why not to follow and use its own tools, so i prefer Google keyword tools external for entire keyword research....
For keyword research you only need 2 tools, one to check search volume for keywords and one to check keyword competition.
For search volume use Google's keyword tool: https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer?__c=1000000000&__u=1000000000&ideaRequestType=KEYWORD_IDEAS
For analyzing keyword competition there are many tools but here my recommendations:
- SEOmoz Keyword Difficulty Tool: Likely the most powerful keyword analysis tool but costs $99/mo for their SEO softwarde (http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty)
- Keyword Inspector: Accurate keyword analysis tool and is completely free (http://www.learn2rank.com/keyword-inspector-keyword-analysis-tool/)
google adword will help you to fined some best keywords, you can also select keywords from google analytic . it suggest you only those keywords from which you are getting vists. word tracker is also an good option to find some quality keywords for the site..
