What is the Invoice for?

This is my first post in this forum.
The business invoice is an essential legal document made by the vendors or service providers and given to the clients or customer to inform that what products or service they are serve. The vendors retain a copy of invoice to keep a records for that what products are sale and the customer retains the copy invoice to keep the records for their purchase or expense.
