Personalize "monetize" your HTTP 404 Error

Is well known for everyone that personalize 404 errors is really important, there's several ways to do this, but here is the most important for me:

.htaccess

ErrorDocument 404 DestinyURL

You MUST create a php, html, htm... page for the destiny url, and there put the link to your website.

In Apache you could make a file called .htaccess and place it the "root directory" of your website, then when a person doesn't found a page or is following a wrong link to your site will see the page that you made.

For Joomla users

Joomla verifiy's if in the root directory of your actual template is any file called error.php, so the easy way is to make any file called error.php and place it in the root directory of you actual template, i.e:

/joomla/templates/ja-purity/error.php

Is important to know, that many people get a wrong url of our sites, maybe when they miss a letter or something or the link is broken, is important to let them know the site is on but the thing that they are looking for was moved or something, so they could follow the link to your website and gain a visit.
