How efficient are you in link building?

How many backlinks to your website do you try to gain each session at the computer? Do you also try to post a certain amount of times each day in forums? These are very efficient ways to grain traffic to your website. I spend about an hour at a time trying to build SEO backlinks. I even consider welcoming new people to the forum community a form of linkbuilding.

I am not really after of the links but I always go to the desired results either in page rank or the ranking in search engines.

@bardmirna how do you see the results in page rank in search engines if you overlooked in link building process, i mean do first in creating the quality content of your site in using link building and well optimized it for you to see the results.

I hardly could tell exact number. It depends on how many links site have when I start with SEO on it, depends on competition, and I am more into trying to get natural links with link bait, too.

Well, Links building is easy way to get rank and PR.. there are so many way to get link like directory submissions, forum posting, article submissions, blog posting and you need to build theme base links too. it will help you lot.

I agree with @bradcallen we always focus on quality over quantity and as a result my staff are not targeted on number of links achieved rather on the quality. Quality links will bring in traffic to a site which is ultimately what people want for a site.

I combine a high quantity of low level links with as many high level links as I can get. My system has worked really well so far. You can check it out here. The key is to remain consistent over time to really rank high in the long term.
