Recent Penguin Update made changes in Link Building Strategies! Please list out the Changes and New Practices Followed post Penguin Update on SEO. I am a SEO Beginner and got some of my sites Penalized for over-Optimization. Currently in process of removing spamy links from blogs and articles submitted so far in history!

    Penguin is a fight against all existing forms of webspam including link spamming/ trading, aggressive overuse of exact match anchor text, submitting to low quality article/ blog directories etc.

    So make sure:
    - You have variation in your anchor text
    - You are not buying/ exchanging links
    - Your website is compelling enough to pull natural backlinks
