    A link wheel can be created by linking together unique web 2.0 sites with the promoted site at the center and all other sites (spokes) linking back to the promoted site.

    For example, you create unique content on different web 2.0 sites like Squidoo (lens), Wordpress(blog), Hubpages(hubpage) and Wetpaint (wiki).

    -Link your lens to blog and back to your own site
    -Link your blog to hubpage and back to your own site
    -Link your hubpage to wiki and back to your own site
    -Link your wiki to lens and back to your site

    If you link together related, unique content, it can be pretty effective....

    In short a link wheel is an interconnected group of web sites which essentially link to a "Targeted Web Site" and aim to boost search engine ranking for given keywords. Let’s say for instance you have 20 sites in your link wheel:
    Site 1 links to Site 2 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
    Site 2 links to Site 3 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
    …
    Site 19 links to Site 20 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
    Site 20 links to Site 1 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
    The “Targeted Web Site” is the web site in which we are trying to increase the rank for.
