Question about links and keywords from different domains

Hi guys,
I work in a web design company, so we are develop hosting many websites.

Is it wrong/bad, toput a link to my company website, with the keyword that I would like to get ranking in the footer of the websites that we make?

They are different domains, but the same IP.

They are different domains, but the same IP.
Yes it really helps to push your keyword ranking in SERP. But footer links wont give more advantage for keyword pushing. Additionally you need to get quality links from niche related sites to achieve top rankings in SERP.

hi,

as per david said your backlink will be counted & will get helpful but as per i have read that foot link is been not give that much important as before.

but putting link in footer is better then no links.
