Around 4 months back when I checked my backlinks they were 136 but today when I checked they are only 80. Now I used the same tool to check my backlinks, then why this difference in numbers? Can anybody tell me why this backlinks keeps going down, when it was 136 last time I checked?

Off Topic Disagree Agree LikeAlso, Google will de-value/de-index backlinks over time that have the same content/parameters and only give you the weight for the highest quality/PR backlink for that content. You'll see this happen slowly overtime and its a pain in the arse sometimes haha.
