Introducing, for your reading pleasure (laughs at my expense,) a foolish noob with a dream

Hi, everyone. My name is Garbanzo Bean Crud. No, not really, it's - you guessed it - Patty Smith. (Wait, can you see my username? If you can't then that sentence made no sense at all.) I learned SEO a while back in a previous life in New Jersey when I worked for a small consulting firm who couldn't get their website reanked. $5000 down the drain to an SEO firm later, I educated myself on SEO and got our site ranked. I have a marketing background and love SEO with my nerdy little self. Anyhoo, fast forward six years, and we're down in Blacksburg, VA (go Hokies!) working for Virginia Tech and getting some serious healthcare and job security. But I just started working part time and happened to want to give my daughter riding lessons. Well, I could not find a barn close by that taught riding Western riding. Lo! and Behold! however, there WAS a local Western riding establishment - they just weren't ranked on Google. I have since bartered SEO for riding lessons, and now I'm back in the biz. So, if you're still reading, hats off to you; you haven't got much of a life, huh? I look forward to learning what I've missed these past six years. Google is still the place to be, right?
