Well I really don't know what is wrong with this thread!!
There is a good scope in SEO. These days people are more aware of online businesses and apart from having website, they also want it to be visible.
In future, there will be more demand for it, so stick to SEO.

An experienced SEO professional can earn a lot of money. Salary depends on your experience and the country in which you are working? Tell me the country in which you are working and I will give us a guess of the salary.

The SEO industry in India is still in its early phase. People have understood the concept and scope of internet marketing just a few years ago.
Though the salary offered is not as much as software jobs, but its just a matter of time when SEO Experts will be paid more than software developers. Since you have been training for 8 months, you should demand a descent salary now.
Atleast 20k p.m.

you can develop your knowledge by creating content for website, creating articles, sem, smo, internet marketing, seo, link building etc then surely you will get more salary above 20k

Also from the market point of view, work of SEO is quite costly in western countries, and it is quite cheaper in India. Hence, people are use to outsource there work to India. They use to take work from there and then outsource it to India so that they can get the work done in a cheaper rate, and they can get good cost for it. Hence, scope of SEO in India in near future is quite good.

SEO idustry is growing well in India and neighbour countries. Quality webmasters and IT emplyees are there. Many SEO firms are also increaseing there. As far as concerned about salary in this field, it is heavily depends on your knowledge about SEO and experience also matters. But SEO services are really cheaper in India than western countries.

Scope of the SEO there. But india is not aware of SEO services. I am also working as a SEO in company. I think if you have experience then you have more scope and get good salary.

The above mentioned forum are helpful. It is true, SEO is considerably new market in India and people are only learning more about it. Therefore SEO here in India is only going to increase and further develop. So in one way, your sure your job demand in future and won't go down. Also once the trend catches up, then your pay will definitively increase. Or else try going to work in some bigger firm so that your pay increases.
