Propylene Glycol is an organic compound having molecular formula as HO-CH2CH2(OH)-CH3. Propylene Glycol is widely used as an antifreeze for food grade applications. It is clear, colorless and practically odorless liquid completely soluble in water.

Propylene Glycol is slightly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbon solvents and only slightly miscible with aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents.

Synonyms - 1, 2-Propanediol, 1,2-Dihydroxypropane, 2-Hydroxypropanol, Polypropylene Glycol, Poly Propylene Glycol.
