Position 1 ranking for highly searched on term - very few visits - why?
Can you assist?
I have a website appearing on page 1 on Google.co.uk – either position 1 or 2 (natural rankings) for a keyword that is searched on over 2000 times a month (UK) – (search volume data taken from Google keyword tool). However, within Google Analytics, for the past 2 months, the link appears to only have received 57 visits in a 3 month period.
My question is why, if you are on page 1 in a top position for a searched on keyword, would you receive so few clicks?
The meta title/description have been updated and the previous meta title/description was fairly ok). It is a wordpress website.
Any suggestions would be most welcome!
