  it is a algo to stop web spam and it is successfully running right now. it is a highly updated algorithm, it will give you damage if you use some un trust worthy linking techniques for the site. google is updating it time to time, so be aware about the link you are created for your site, if you select any wrong way to get in top, google penguin will penalized you by droping your ranking in SERPs.
