Hi, I'm new. Google not reading my meta tags...

Hi Everyone,

This is likely a basic question but I've found no answers. When I search for my site on Google, (or Bing and Yahoo), none of them are reading my meta description.

I've gone in to Webmaster tools in google, entered my URL and had google crawl my site but still no dice (that was last week).

Here are my meta tags. Are they the problem or something else?

<meta name="description" content="Contemporary Sumi-e Paintings, Ink Paintings, Bamboo Brush, Prints, Buddhist, Zen, Abstract." />

<meta name="Keywords" content="Contemporary Sumi-e Paintings, Ink Paintings, Bamboo Brush, Prints, Buddhist, Zen, Abstract." />

    How do you know Google and other search engines are not reading your Meta Description? If you haven't seen them in search engine results that doesn't mean they're not reading them. They're read but didn't found relevant with your webpage and decided to use alternative information as a description of your page. It is usual and happened several times with my websites. Try to rewrite your Meta description that best defines your web pages.

    Try to analyze your competitors website and do changes in your on page according to that. .

    I think you have write meta title and meta tag description very long it should be title- 68 character and description 168 character and try to make quality back link and do some social bookmarking that help to crawl your site fast.
