display random topic in the main page

  so , if i put the random post in the js , the main page will contain only few words , like the description of the site , that's good too?

  if you do this you should make sure you also have at least 1 paragraph of 'fixed' text that is optimized for your keywords for your homepage.

  That depends. In how you put your coding for that particular page. If it is scripting there are just limited things a Googlebot does:

  Googlebot will see and follow this link. It will follow even more elaborate links inside javascript strings that have nothing to do with HTML markup. Tested on my AJAX site. I had to Disallow some maintenance links in robots.txt to have Google don't index them.
