  First your website should be indexed by Google. So try your best to get indexed your website by doing some activities and social bookmarking website. And also submit your website in google webmaster tool.
  
  
  Your second issue: When you make your website's sitemap page, then you put the time, as one day, weekly, monthly etc. Google crawls your website on that basis. If you do daily activity on site (on content/code) then put Daily, if not daily then put weekly. Most people select weekly. BUT it is not the only factor. It depend upon the condition of your page content addition.
