Thread: Search Result different in different browser!!!

Hi!

Can any one say if search result differ in different browser. I have seen google showing different search result in IE and Mozilla. For the same keyword my website ranks in 6th page in IE and in 1st page 2nd position in Mozilla.

How and why this happens? Anybody any answer?

what's your site and what's your keyword?
I think there is no difference in result if checked on different browsers.

one reason I think is maybe you do the SERP on different target area... I mean, do you do geo-targeting? for example you are from india, and you check your keyword from google.co.in, of course there will be difference in result if you check your SERP on google.com/ncr... you know what I mean?

Most likely in mozilla you're still logged in your Google account. This makes your website, that you probably check a lot on Google, appear as a favourite site, so Google increased it's position in your presonalized serps. On the other hand, last automn Google launched the opt-out position. This means that if you use google on a browser, it will keep track of your record and serve you personalized [URL="http://www.mecatronx.com/seo-dictionary/listings/"]serps[/URL]. You don't use Internet explorer much, so no personalized serps there, as there are no IE cookies. So your real ranking would be closer to What IE shos you.

Clear the cookies and try once.
