Does Fuzzy SEO Work?

dsimms Registered Users
I really do not see to much info about Fuzzy SEO. I somewhat understand the theory, but
does it really work? As i only see obvious keywords on the forum pages, but that really
does not give me much real indication, as we are somewhat having to take your word.

I know your going to say you have it installed, and you are one of the most popular SEO
forums...is it that you offer products that draw people in like flies anyway, or fuzzy seo...
If you did not have fuzzy seo, it sounds like people would have come anyway just
to get your seo products, so it really would not be fair to say that fuzzy seo did all the lone work.

Can you provide more insight on fuzzy seo?

Thank-You

Dude I don't think you can get a breakdown of how much Fuzzy SEO is bringing in. Obviously there's a bunch of factors that make this website click.

Thats a totally fair question, and sorry its taken me nearly a week to get back to you on it (Ive been ill, away & busy all of which have conspired to prevent me posting).

Anyway - the idea as much as I would love to claim it, is not my own - I just built it into a couple of CMS plugins. The first implementation of the system that I am aware on was on scribd, a very popular blogging platform that receives millions of visitors per day. They turned pretty much this exact system off because it was spiralling a bit out of control, and their traffic dropped by about 50% after turning the plugin off.

You can read an article about this on Branded3's blog here (the post is a couple of years old now):
    http://www.blogstorm.co.uk/scribd-traffic-down-48-after-turning-off-aggressive-seo/

So: that article got me thinking, and I came up originally with a wordpress plugin, and published an article on seomoz.org about it, back when this forum had just been launched (the same week infact, and it was on a different domain back then). Here is that article:
    http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/improve-the-long-tail-wordpress-automated-query-insertion

Anyway, Im pretty confident it makes a good impact, Ive been given stats from other sites where it has had a very, very obvious positive impact - but its not a "magic" SEO solution, its just a part of an overall strategy. While I know its been great on this forum, the link equity that we have is the cornerstone of our ranking for the competitive terms, but the FuzzySEO plugin certainly has helped our long tail search along nicely.

    cheers

    Martin

    MOG,

I have an idea for you...its not new, its already on vb.org, but its not very good.

How about coming up with VB Title/Content keyword creator that will create keywords in the tag,
I have just found out that I have been running the following mod for 3 months now that it has not
been working...it was supposed to be adding keywords all this time, and I have recently done some
testing based on what others were saying, and found it only added like 4-5 keywords, no matter
what I posted, I got keywords marketing from a privacy article. I think you could do a much better
job, and this would add another great SEO mod to your books.

    vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=234026

I also think you should expand your fuzzy SEO to include or add something to the VB BLOG, since longtail
keywords are appearing on the home page, and other pages, how about pulling longtail keywords from
the blog articles, and placing fuzzy on the blog also....you have fuzzy for WP, so why not VB Blog as well?

    Thanks for your time.

I hope to order again very soon.

well, the vb blog point is certainly a valid one... It does seem a little bit odd that all my plugins only work on the forum side but not the CMS or blogs. As you might be aware, my blog on this site runs on wordpress which is why I have never invested any effort into the VB Blog (simply, because I dont use it!).

As for the auto-tagging, I will check that out now and update the thread later this morning.

    cheers

Yes, it would make since to include Blog/CMS...I do not use the CMS myself, but I do use the blog, and
a lot of people use VB suite, I guess you could expand it to Blog/CMS with option to disable either, so
I would only need it for the blog since I do not use the CMS, but there are others that use Forum, Blog, and CMS.

as for the auto tagger, you probably would know how to use it best for seo purposes...
we need those spiders to pay attention to us small guys, and need every advantage.

Web Hosting in India are learnt to be maintaining a complete non-partisan stance towards their services to any of their clients, be they from India or from overseas. Keeping in mind, the exchange rate of rupees with dollar being much lower and staffing cost being lower also in contrast to that of in offshore, those hosting companies charge website owners from India in a very little reduced pricing.

Was there any movement in regards to integrating the SEO Fuzzy Booster plugin as an auto-tag function?
