Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

edited December 2010 in Fuzzy SEO for Wordpress
Hey..

I'm having troubles with activating this plugin on a few of my websites, using production and local servers. Here is the error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: parse error in C:\wamp\www\__wordpress\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\fuzzy-seo-booster\seoqueries.php
on line 506

After browsing WordPress forums and Google, it looks like I'm not the only one facing this issue. Anyone found any solution or work-around for this issue?

I'd appreciate any responses/ideas.

Thanks!!
Piotr

    Hi Piotr,

the plugin should be installed on an apache based webserver - it will not function correctly installed on a loca server, wamp or xampp. Also, installing it on a local server is kind of pointless right ;)

I have one instance when this error comes up on the LAMP server. Could you explain where is exactly the issue? Is there any work-around or setting which could be changed to make it work?

I mean, installing Fuzzy SEO plugin on localserver has the same point as setting up local server - to develop and test locally, before deploying to production servers. But, I was actually trying to replicate an issue with a site where Fuzzy SEO works fine on all pages except for the home page - chapter7[dot]com. Do you have any thoughts what could be an issue?

    Thanks!!
    Piotr
