There seem to be a lot of topics that shouldn't be where they are - a lot of self advertising outside marketplace, and a lot of posting just for free links. While the open link policy should not be abolished in my book, I think it should be countered with some harsh penalties for offtopic or simply spamming posts and users. This way, the forum will grow organically, with people genuinely interested in learning or sharing information, and not simply spamming the form to get free links. Free links should be earned. So a few moderators on each area would be nice. Another idea - give the right to a signature only to users with more than 15 posts, and at least a week on the forum. Combined with harsh modding, it will get rid of spammers in the forum.
