Many keywords are in top 10 position (In Google.com) and before powered by Bing keywords were also in top 3 position (In Yahoo.com).

Hi there people,

I would just like to ask for some professional advice if you dont mind helping out i would be very grateful.

I am re-developing a website that someone else has done before, this is going to be the biggest site i have ever built and it is for my new boss. Currently their SEO sucks big time and i really think i can help. Currently there are sooo many internal links directing to various pages in the site... I know that links are good but if you have too many is this bad?

The other thing is is it worth putting loads of META tag keywords in the HEAD? i hear that Google doesnt even look at these anymore. Is it true?

One more thing i am now placing loads of "em" and "strong" tags in the content for keywords as currently there is NONE at all. is this a good thing for SEO?

Many thanks in advance.

Tactics for Maximum Adsense Profit

As many marketers know, adsense can be one of the most enticing sources for website revenue. Here’s a few ways to maximize upon the possible profit:...

As many marketers know, adsense can be one of the most enticing sources for website revenue. Here’s a few ways to maximize upon the possible profit:

1.) A tracker Software
This is a big tip in regards to increasing Adsense profit, because the installation of an adsense click tracking software does a few vital things for your website.
a.) the software will track the IP addresses from which the users click to whichever adverstisements they click on, and thus stores this info for future analysis.
b.) tracks vicious hits, and reports them to Google.
c.) the click of advertising sites, IP users, the advertisements address, and the clicking on time.

2.) Invalid Clicks and Malicious Clicks
As mentioned in the first strategy, having an adsense tracker can trace vicious hits, such as the clicking on an ad for a particular IP. To prevent your Adsense account from being suspended, it would be vital to promptly report these clicks, and thus tracking them will be of the upmost importance.

3.) Color-Matching/ Number & Color/Adsense Location
The third strategy for maximizing profit in Adsense would be the location of your Adsense. Adsense could be placed on several advertisements to increase your advertising exposure. Of course, the proper location would make a big difference in relation to the users attention and thus the click through rate. For example, the largest pieces should be placed as advertismenets in three blocks and one link advertising, with the advertising being placed on the top of the page in order to get a higher hit rate.

In regards to Color-Matching, it is psychologically tested that a consumer; in this case user, will be more responsive when the colors match in order to form a sort of branding pattern in their mind. For example, McDonalds uses red and yellow, in their sign, in their straws, and in many of their campaign advertisments. Thus, on your website, the background color and text color to the overall color of the site should match, and at the same time it would improve the quality of your user’s browsing experience while enhancing the hits upon your site.

4.) Preventing Through Rules
Preventing an account suspension is of course vital to increasing longevity and revenue through time. Thus, this goes into following the rules of Google Adsense, and that consists of not clicking on your own adsense advertising, and not changing the Adsense code. There are many other rules to follow that will insure the avoidance of having your account banned but these are two general ones that if followed can keep your extra or full time income around longer.

5.) Evidence for Longevity
Lastly, providing your proof to remain innocent. The main reason for tracking your data through Adsense software in the first place is to provide your statistical data in case of an anomaly in regards to advertising hits. By tracking your data, you can always promptly notify Google officials by submitting this data and thus keeping your innocence as an Adsense advertiser.

In short, there are many guidelines to follow and strategies to implement to maximize your Adsense income. As Google has countered many marketers through Google Adwords throughout the years through its slapping of campaigns, it is always a good thing to stay on Google’s good side. Being more effective in Adsense entails attaining and continuing a good relationship with Google. Doing so, will not only ensure longevity as an advertiser but increase the opportunity to maximize Adsense income in the present and future too.

Abbreviations, Branding and SEO

Abbreviations, Branding and SEO

Hello, I’m in the process of starting a new site and have a few questions. I don’t know a whole lot about SEO, so bear with me. :)

Background:
I have two domains registered. The first one is my actual website’s (and brand) name, whereas the second one is a slightly abbreviated version of the domain. For this post, I’ll use the example of “BuyBoatsBenevolently.com” and “BuyBoatsB.com”.

My site name isn’t that cheesy, but it’s basically the same setup. The first two words are important keywords, whereas the third word is an adjective that makes the brand name, but has no relevance to the actual keywords. No one searches for “buy boats benevolently” but they search for “buy boats”.

The problem, of course, is that “benevolently” is a cumbersome word that is hard to spell and makes the domain name unnecessarily long. BuyBoatsB.com works much better in that regard.

Therefore, I am planning on using the BuyBoatsB.com as the actual domain, and just have BuyBoatsBenevolently.com redirect to BuyboatsB.com. The heading on all of the pages would be Buy Boats Benevolently – buyboatsb is just the domain.

I should also note that the majority of my traffic will (probably) come from search engines. It’s more a collection of articles than a company brand name. And no one searches for “benevolently”, so I am thinking that a shorter domain name will work better. “Benevolently” is basically just there to make it a brand. I don’t see many people searching for “Buy Boats Benevolently” to find my brand, but rather to find my site by searching for “buy boats”.

So, a few questions:
1) 1. If my main site is BuyBoatsB.com, will the first two keywords (buy boats) still register well in SEO? Or will the B throw things off?
2) 2. As I said, Buy Boats Benevolently is the business name. BuyBoatsB.com is the actual domain, and BuyBoatsBenevolently.com just redirects. Is this bad for SEO?
3) 3. Do you see this hurting my brand at all? This is a secondary issue, but might be worth considering.
4. Do you know of any websites / companies with this setup?

Hopefully I explained everything thoroughly.

Thank you.

Sorry bout hte vague title, didn't know how to title a question like this.

Okay, so basically, I'm trying to figure out how to tag all my posts in a blog I'm doing. I wanna optimize the tags as best as I can, but don't know how many tags is too many, how many tags is too little, and what would make a tag too long and specific or too short and vague. One problem is I can't actually reveal what I'm blogging about without getting in trouble, so bear with me a little bit...

Here's an example of the problem I'm having:

I'm talking about clothes. The post is about what sizes, colors and types we offer.

Let's say we offer t-shirts, sweat shirts and coats.
Now let's say that each of the three come in four colors (they're all solid, just to make our lives easier): red, blue, green and yellow.
Now let's say they come in three sizes: small, medium and large.
Now I need to tag the post, which explains all of this in an easy to read format.

Here are tags I was thinking of, but didn't know which example would have been better...
First example: t-shirt, t-shirts, sweatshirt, sweatshirts, coat, coats, red, blue, green, yellow, small, medium, large
Second example: t-shirt, sweatshirt, sweatshirt, red, blue, green yellow
Third example: red t-shirt, blue t-shirt, green t-shirt, yellow t-shirt (color the other two and that's it)
Fourth example: small red t-shirt, medium red t-shirt, large red t-shirt (size and color for t-shirts, sweatshirts and coats)

EDIT: So my question is: what is too vague of a tag, what is TOO specific, would all of those tags be needed? Or should I omit colors and sizes from my tag list and just use the original product? (T-shirts, sweaters, coats). Lastly, does plural matter? Should I use plural or non-plural, or should I use BOTH?

Or if someone has a better way to tag all that out, that would be great!

Sorry if it's too drawn out and stuff... I just really need to know!!! Thank you :)

This question has befuddled business owners who have made foray into the global platform through their website presence. Until and unless the target audience visits the website, the purpose of having an online existence is lost. Therefore, in order to attract the target audience, the online business owner has to continuously invest into avenues which will contribute to more traffic to his website. There are in fact paid website traffic methods as well as free website traffic methods through which one could see a surge in the number of people visiting their website.

*First and foremost basic rule for any website to have a longer innings on the internet platform is to get their website search engine optimized. As people use search engines frequently in order to find out information related to anything on the web, getting your website optimized for the keywords, optimizing the browsing speed and navigation would definitely help in getting a good page rank in the search engine results page. A top rank here would obviously translate into tons and tons of traffic.

*Link exchange is another assured way to improve website traffic. But care has to be taken that this link exchange should be established only between those websites that already have a good ranking so that it will add to the value of your website. Getting linked to poor quality websites might prove to be risky as the credibility of your website would be at stake. Too much of link exchange is also bad as Google disregards the websites when it is overdone.

*You could advertise your website through Pay-per-Click methods. Most of the major search engines have PPC schemes but you will have to decide your spend on this kind of advertising and prioritize on how you wish to advertise for your business.

*Make use of all the free website traffic methods that are present on the internet for you do not have to lose anything out of it. All you are going to invest is just time. If you do not have time, you could entrust this job to someone else and you could concentrate on more effective paid website traffic methods.

As there is cut throat competition on the internet platform, you must not leave any stone unturned in order to catch the attention of your target audience. So, one has to make use of the free website traffic methods as well as paid website traffic methods so that they can benefit from the traffic that comes from both the sources.

Latest in the traffic generation methods is the paid website traffic through expired domains. The traffic that comes to the website through the expired domains is purely human and not any kind of bots. This traffic is redirected from a credible IP address which comes in with a date and time of visit stamped as well as the details of the person who has logged and used the website. These statistics will indeed help to learn more about how you could improve your services that you are offering on your website.

Hiring an SEO professional can give you the desired visibility and ranking of your Website on search engine result pages. But sometimes your site may be at risk due to the unethical action of that SEO professional you have chosen. You will be responsible for what they have done as they can do a lot of harm to your site. Your site presence on search engine result pages may have a negative impact or even can be removed entirely from the search engine index. To avoid this type of unwanted consequence, do some proper ground work before taking the final decision of hiring an SEO professional.

Knowing in advance will cost you nothing but will save you from ultimate devastation. Therefore, it is wise to do research on the SEO professional that you are going to hire. Gathering knowledge about their experience by evaluating their examples of previous work will give you an idea about their ability. If the particular SEO professional has developed lots of international sites, that can assure you about their expertise. Make them reveal to you the techniques they want to follow for optimising your site.

Be aware of unethical SEO professionals. How can you determine whether an SEO is making deceptive act or it is the right one to optimise your site? There are some certain facts by which you can know that the particular SEO professional is doing aggressive marketing which are not accepted business ethics.

The most common abuse often done by an SEO professional is creating shadow domains that deceptively redirect the users to a site. These shadow domains are owned by the SEO professional, and claims that they are working on behalf of you. If the relationship with SEO professional is going to decline, they may redirect the domain to a different site even to a competitor’s site. In that case you are actually paying to develop a competing site entirely owned by the SEO professional.
