Google Analtyics Data Ownership Etiquette

Client A hired my company to design a new website and handle the SEO. Google Analytics was installed immediately. Work progressed, then the client went AWOL for about two months and clumsily notified my company that he had hired a much bigger firm to replace mine. This bigger firm has had the account for about 6 months and they apparently just noticed the Google Analytics code still on the current site and want me to add them as a user to see the data prior to their redesign. The feeling here is that this is not appropriate - that this new company should have installed their own GA on the website and collected data as they wished when they got the account. I have offered to send PDFs of data that would cover the period my company had the account, but no one here thinks that adding them as user to see the data is "right." Thoughts?

If the analytics account was created under your company's name, I personally would not add them as a user and your offer to provide screenshots was generous. If the new company has had the site for 6 months they should have installed their own tracking and built a substantial amount of information on their own.
