Why is google giving me less relevant results?

Google search for 'religious nesting dolls' and get a link to a product page, a single item for purchase.
Bing search for 'religious nesting dolls' and get a link to the catalog page, a page with 35 options for purchase.
This happens again and again with various keywords...
Why can't google give me the catalog page every time? Why is it going to the home page, a product page, or a blog post as oppose to what the web browser really wants?
If anyone could give me any insight, answers, or suggestions to fix this, that would be great. "It's because of Panda and Penguin" does not help.

I think penguin done all that thing you have to recover your site and read penguin update carefully.

all these thing would be happen due to the latest update of the penguin but you have to search with the exact keywords
