  they use total different algorithms , and google changed theirs again just a few days ago . Each SE requires a different optimization . Do a little research for what every engine requires and looks for , there are lots of resources online .

  Of course, entirely so. And Yahoo's algorithms are different form Bing or Google too

  I wonder why there algorithm is so different is it just so they can be different and produce different result or do they have a better worse view on this.

  I do find the situation funny as I dont optimise's for bing at all, just Google and I do better in bing than Google.

  Definitely yes. They do use different algo. That is why we rank differently in different SE's and that their categories are different from each other as well.

  Definitely they are not same in algorithms they use to rank a site. Every search engine has it's own algorithm and factors in indexing and ranking a site

  Both have different algo because they have own criteria to to give raking and thats why they are differ.

  Google is most popular and best no doubt about it. The Google is top of the search engine and the bing is great but different in both search engines have different algorithm. Definitely they are not same in algorithms they use to rank a site.

  I think Bing is too young and not influetial at all. Of course I would choose Google which has proved that they are the best.

  Just this week I'm noticing a big drop in visits by Bing.
  Why? Have they changed something?

  I've noticed that Bing seems to crawl erratically. There will be no visits for days, then it will crawl the site up to 100 pages in 2 mins...then vanish again. Looking at the Bing webmaster dashboard the crawl rate is reflected in the stats, however indexed page report doesn't.

  For google,Rank #9 is much better than Rank #1. (PR 9 is much better than PR 1).

  Because they have different rank algorithm. Google like pages have more back link while bing like pages have more related keywords.

  Every search engine has own algorithm but some are more popular due to query generated.like as google has own algorithm and also bing has own. here google are more popular resepect to other search engine. so, i check my keyword of sites in google becasue google give 80% lead and 20% give me other search engine like as yahoo and bing.

  Google "Panda" just changed the algorithm and more depends on now content and Internal Links.... Bing uses the totally different algorithm.

  Well, Bing is try to snatch the place of Google in Search Engine. In this process, Its running better or more advanced crawlers which is being overlooked by us on an average. Thus, a little activity over the web, where takes time in Google to read, it gives instant rankings over bing. This on the other hand adversely affects Bing's reputation because more of the results are altered.
