Bing and Yahoo search?

Hi,

Has Bing taken over Yahoo search, if so does that mean that there is no point in using Yahoo?

I think bing is still behind in the race of search engine to defeat yahoo.

The Bing search engine does provide search results for yahoo, but I have seen slight variations in the results. For instance, yahoo pages are still ranking better when I use Yahoo to search, but when I use Bing, the yahoo pages do not get preference in the SERP's. This leads me to believe that yahoo still has some control. I would never suggest that you stop paying attention to Yahoo when it comes to SEO.

Bing is way below yahoo and to tell you the truth I rather use yahoo then bing.

Yahoo have been in the industry for so long and I don't think it will go down that easily. BUT this doesn't mean that Yahoo is a competitor of Bing. Why? Well to tell you the truth, the news of migrating the two giants have been in the web for awhile now.

Wrong. Bing is already gaining it's way with Google. Yahoo is already a part of Bing:

I have to disagree. According to the article I've read, Yahoo is now a part of Microsoft who is the owner of Bing.

As per my knowledge , Bing = Yahoo + MSN so its results also comes combining the both search engine algo. And that the reason bong result not = yahoo result. Bing PPC advertising i personally use for promotion and it generate good conversion. So, i like to use bing for sponsored ads - seo aspect of bing not sure. If anyone have knowledge love to learn from him/her.

Could you write as the phrases and how you noticed the change? I haven't seen much of a change, maybe it's GEO related?
My searches are made from Israel.

Yahoo Directory is powderful!
Many small Search Engines use Yahoo Directory,such as AOL.
By the way,Google thinks highly of DMOZ.

Bing give more better result then yahoo also get ranking on bing is quite more complicated as compare to yahoo

Both are search engines and they are not human being but they operated by human being so many factors are there withing yahoo and bing SE. Both have different craw rates for different website and shows different results for same keywords that means they they both have different algorithm to display results.

I am not agree with this. Bing and Yahoo both are too different. Like you can check results in bing and Yahoo...This are too different. Yahoo still using it's old algo and Bing is being advance and Using advance algo which is bit similiar to google.

Microsoft just took over Yahoo some years back. So now both the search engines have same data caching process as well they both share same database. Bimg is just coming out of their shop and is trying to hit the market whereas Yahoo stays quietly in its specific webpages.
