I prefer gmail but do not forget that yahoo once ruled this scene. It is in no way slower than gmail but I use gmail as i also use other Google products from the same account.

Yahoo is slow. I like the new looks of Yahoo but when it comes to email, there is no beating gmail.com

I think so.Gmail loads faster than yahoo,on a internet connection with same speed.Its because Gmail is simpler on screen,with no loads of stuff and ads with images/videos etc.I prefer gmail as many of us here do.

I like Gmail than Yahoo and it is more faster because of its cloud computing features that you can easily share documents and open it whenever you are through having connected into the internet.

I never accept that yahoo is slower than gmail. Because both are search engine. Yahoo come before google but today google is more prediciate resepect to yahoo. I also prefer google because my business come from google(80%).

Basically, I never think about this two search engine in such a manner; and I think it is very little time required for any search engine to bring results - no remarkable time duration can be found by open eye. However; the main fact is that lots use Google a it is still the main Target of webmasters and users.

I think slower than Gmail Yahoo, because Yahoo is relatively faster than Gmail because Gmail, Yahoo, the Internet connection speed depends entirely on the connection speed while consuming less dependent. Gmail also has a number of useful and attractive features.

If you are talking about homepage then i can say "yes" yahoo is bit slower. But each mail service having their own advantage as well.

Depends on what you mean by "slower".
If you mean "Does yahoo load more slowly than gmail?" the answer is yes.
If you mean "does mail sent from yahoo get to the recipient more slowly" the answer is no; both are equally fast.

But GMail has problems that convince me to use Yahoo rather than GMail, besides the fact I have had my personal account on yahoo for about 15 years.
First, GMail tends to group like things together in "conversations". Um, I don't want that; I want each e-mail that came in to be listed separately. This is espcially important as I get documents faxed to me daily; I don't want to have to root through a "conversation" to see the documents.
Second, Yahoo has a better spam filter than GMail.
